In The Last 50 Years, Liverpool is the Best in the UK

In the last 50 years in the Premier League, the highest caste English League, Liverpool tend to be more stable than Manchester United. When averaged, the Reds, as the Liverpool nickname, occupy a better position than the Red Devils, nicknamed Man United.

This weekend, both teams that equally “mend” the red color will fight. Liverpool host Man United at Anfield Stadium on Saturday (14/10/2017).

Both teams have a special mission this eighth week. Man United, now sitting second in the standings, needed a win to climb to the top of the table hoping city rivals Manchester City slipped.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are also required to reap the full points in order to keep the chances of competing in the top. Juergen Klopp’s men need three points to boost their current seventh position, eroding the seven points currently lying between them.

The current reality makes Man United more favored because the team made by Jose Mourinho is not just there in second. They also still keep the trend never lost this season.

However, if pulled back to 50 years back, the fans of Liverpool can be a little smile. The reason, the Reds excel in the average position of the standings.

As reported by Sky Sports, the average position of Liverpool is better than the entire English Premier League club. They have an average position of 3.44 in the standings, while Man United averaged 5.08.

Arsenal slightly better than Man United with an average position of 4.96. Meanwhile Chelsea and Man City are sixth and seventh, under Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.
